About Me

My Story

My formative years were spent reading a lot of books and fortunately, not just those required for school. I attribute this mostly to curiosity about the outside world but also equally about the power of imagination. I acquired an interest in language to understand others’ ideas and to articulate my own. While this interest alone would have made me a verbose communicator, it was tempered by a parallel interest in science and mathematics. A few years of studying these two subjects taught me that translating abstract concepts into practically intelligible examples is more valuable than the other way around. I think of it like a magic trick. Effective communication can reveal the contents of an opaque vessel by subtly making it transparent.

This youthful fascination with the scientific arts would, over time, lead me on an adventure across North America, Europe, and the Middle East in pursuit of higher education and experience in different industries. Eventually, I acquired Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. I worked on multi billion dollar construction projects. I helped manage multi million dollar aircraft programs that now count their lifetimes in decades.

It was a fulfilling adventure. But I believe it has been succeeded by a more ambitious one. One in which I put my initial understanding of effective communication to good use by helping leaders express their ideas to their audience.

White Paper Specialist

During my previous adventure, I observed that imaginative leaders are rare to begin with, and those that can express their ideas convincingly are rarer still. Ideas may as well not exist if they aren’t shared. Being able to share them such that they move people to action is what drives the destinies of economies.

I can think of no better challenge for myself than to do exactly this, not just once, but multiple times. This is what made me want to write white papers. White papers are a unique blend of rhetoric and scientific analysis. In many ways, I consider it only natural that my journey is continuing on this path.

Interests

This website also serves as a vehicle to share my interests with my readers. I write about many different topics, some that are dear to my heart and some of passing interest. But no matter what I write about, I consider it to be an exercise in keeping my writing skills sharp. Browse my articles in the journal, and if you would like to continue the conversation, do not hesitate to contact me.

If the written word is stronger than the blade, then imagination is the whetstone that keeps it sharp. And what better way to spark the imagination than by creating art? This may seem like a utilitarian premise but I recently rediscovered the joy of creating art and music, for its own sake. For my art projects, I use a variety of media such as color pencils, charcoal, watercolors, acrylic, and oil pastels. I also practice writing and playing music. So far, my attempts have been limited to listening to tunes and trying to decipher what notes are being played. This limitation is serving to teach me the fundamentals of music theory. I am also an archer and a video game enjoyer. I would be thrilled to connect with fellow enthusiasts.
